What is Inscape
Inscape gets its name from a philosophical view of the arts developed by Gerard Manley Hopkins. J.R.R. Tolkien explained that:
[Hopkins] felt that everything in the universe was characterized by what he called inscape, the distinctive design that constitutes individual identity. This identity is not static but dynamic. Each being in the universe ‘selves,’ that is, enacts its identity.
Design is what Inscape is all about. The magazine is looking for creative artists, writers, sculptors, photographers, and poets to share their perspectives.
